Contraindications:
- cardiac decompensation

- high risk of barotrauma

- nocturnal hypoxemia other than OSA
- pneumothorax or pneumomediastinum
- pneumoencephalus
- head trauma
- status post brain surgery as well as post surgery of the pituitary gland or middle or Inner ear
- acute sinusitis, otitis media, or tympanic membrane perforation
- dehydration
