Description:
RC-Cornet PLUS clears the lower respiratory tract of stuck bronchial mucus, relieves irritable cough and reduces the need for antibiotics. Indications for use are frequently recurring respiratory infections, irritable cough, problems with coughing up mucus, severe cough with sputum.
The RC-Cornet PLUS generates an oscillating positive exhalation pressure (OPEP) during exhalation. The mucous membranes are massaged in a physical way. The bronchi of the lower airways dilated - without the use of medication.
Setting I leads to the widening of the airways. Stabilising exhalation pressure with vibrations widens the airways to the alveoli. Constrictions are opened and thus parts of the alveoli are ventilated again. This reduces shortness of breath.
In setting II, bronchial mucus is loosened. The mobilising exhalation pressure with vibrations loosens the heavy mucus from the bronchial walls and liquefies it. The loosened bronchial mucus is transported towards the mouth by the vibrations. The mucus can then be coughed up. The cough can thus resume its cleansing function for the airways.
Once cleansing is complete, coughing is automatically reduced because the cough receptors are no longer irritated. In addition, the removal of mucus reduces susceptibility to infections.
