In the operating aids of iOS 14 is a function of otpional adjustable permanent active noise detection. The function is aimed at deaf and hard of hearing iPhone users, as well as people who spend their (work) everyday life in challenging hearing situations or with hearing protection in place. It is activated via Settings > Accessibility > Noise detection.
