Areas of Application:
Braille Keyboard
Areas of Application:
- blindness
- one-handedness
- motor limitations
Description:
Blind PC users often have satisfactory skills to work with a standard character keyboard. However, if no previous knowledge of such a keyboard is available or if routine use of the mechanical Braille typewriter has already been acquired, a higher speed of text input can be achieved with the Braille keyboard offered. Braille input is also necessary if texts are to be created in Braille shorthand.
The principle makes it possible to make all necessary inputs with only 8 keys, most of them even with only 6 keys. The keys which in combination result in the desired character are usually pressed simultaneously.
The Braille keyboard T8 can also be used with one-handedness and other motor impairments in its standard version, if it is adapted accordingly in the setting mode. For this purpose, three methods can be selected.
Features / Components:
- can be used for complete control of the PC
- switchover on the device between 8- and 6-dot Braille
- three input methods can be selected
- can also be used with one-handedness
- connection via USB port
- parallel operation with a standard keyboard possible
