The shoelaces were originally developed for triathletes. They needed a solution for quickly putting on and taking off their shoes during competition. They are also suitable for people with special needs who have difficulty tying their shoes without assistance.
The laces look like normal laces and also have the characteristic loop. However, they can be opened and closed again with a flick of the wrist.
