Product Type:
Cooker monitoring for electric cookers
Areas of Application:
- dementia
- memory impairment
- impaired eyesight
- fire protection
Description:
The cooker monitoring consists of a control unit and a heat sensor. The control unit is mounted between the power supply and the cooker and interrupts the power supply if the heat on the cooker takes an unusual development or reaches a critical point.
The heat development is monitored by the (battery-operated) sensor, which is recommended to be mounted directly above the centre of the cooker on the cooker hood (wall or ceiling mounting is also possible, however). If the sensor unit detects a critical heat build-up on the cooker, the user will receive a warning (short beeps). If there is no response to this pre-alarm and the temperature rises above a critical point, the control unit receives a signal - the power supply is immediately interrupted and the cooker is thus switched off. As an indication of this,
will sound a few rapid beeps followed by a prolonged and loud tone.
Resetting is done by setting the controls of the cooker and, if applicable, the oven to "0" and pressing the heat sensor button once. The cooker can then be operated normally again (allow to cool down first).
Features / Components:
- Temperature monitoring of the cooker with regard to critical heat development
- Automatic disconnection of the power supply to the cooker in case of critical heat development
- Monitoring of the connection heat sensor/control unit
- Visual and acoustic signalling of the system status by means of multi-coloured LED and beep (consample forming to standards)
