Description:
Tactile orientation aids enable blind and visually impaired people to find their way more easily in road traffic.
Plates with relief structure are used for marking different traffic areas and for safety marking of stops, parking lots or crossings suitable for disabled people for example by a wheelchair relief on the plate. With these panels, it is necessary that the fields stand out clearly from the surrounding flooring and that the structure can be felt by a long stick or even by the feet. Companion strips with a flat, low-joint surface that contrasts in color and texture with the relief panel should be positioned on one or both sides next to the guidance systems. These serve to better distinguish the guidance system from the normal road surface.
Material:
For easier acoustic differentiation, the relief panel is made of fiber concrete on core concrete, so that a change in the pavement can also be perceived through an acoustic change. Due to a good color and luminance contrast, the tactile floor panels are also easier to recognize
and distinguish for the visually impaired.
