Product Type:
Communicator for written language-based communication with speech output
Description:
The Lightwriter SL50 was developed as a portable written language-based communication device with synthetic speech output. It is specifically designed for users who have good motor skills and are able to communicate using written language. The Lightwriter SL50 has a large display on the front and a smaller display on the back so that the communication partner can read the messages entered. The display on the back can also be switched off for private conversations and notes.
The predictive text feature enables fast and effective communication. Fast communication is also ensured by the large memory for frequently used messages, which the user can call up quickly using shortcuts. The two-way exchange of saved words and sentences with a PC is also possible via USB stick.
The SL50 has a Bluetooth connection as standard for connecting to a smartphone. Thanks to the integrated microphone, you can speak during a call and use the Lightwriter's writing and speaking functions at the same time.
For use in poor lighting conditions, both screens and buttons offer backlighting that automatically adapts to the ambient brightness. Three grids for assurance finger guidance and contact delay times that can be set to the millisecond help to compensate for motor difficulties.
