Description:
MELBA - Merkmalprofile zur Eingliederung Leistungsgewandelter und Behinderter in Arbeit - is an assessment procedure for determining and presenting ability profiles and requirement profiles. The profile comparison procedure is used in the vocational rehabilitation.
MELBA is used for the treatment of a multiplicity of different questions, so for example within the range of the personnel selection and - development, the BEM (vocational integration management), the MBOR (medical vocationally oriented rehablitation), the mechanism/organization of workplaces, the qualification of employees, the transition school/work, the Berentung, the rehablitation and integration of humans with labor market-referred handicaps u.
The basic instrument MELBA deals with "soft skills" or key qualifications. The requirement profiles document which of these soft skills are necessary to which extent in order to be able to perform a certain activity; the ability profiles show which of these key qualifications a person has (at a certain point in time). By comparing profiles, the fit between skills and requirements can then be presented and assessed.
