Description:
LOC.id is a Bluetooth-based system that is mainly used in the area of traffic lights or for passenger information in public transport. The app for blind people acts as a transmitter and is alternatively available as a handheld device. When a blind person approaches a system equipped with a receiver, the person is detected and the app emits an acoustically raised orientation signal. In addition, LOC.id can also be used to extend a green phase. The green phase is still signaled by the acoustic release tone.
All transmitters within a radius of 100 meters are detected. A subdivision in the near and far range can be configured in the service app.
Application examples:
Tram Halle - Talking stop:
The receiver is installed on the streetcar. As soon as a people with an activated app or user device is detected, a voice signal is emitted when the doors are opened. If no transmitter is detected in the area, there is no voice output.
LOC.id Modes:
Mode 1: Standard - no user is nearby, the volume level is low.
Mode 2: As soon as a user is within range of the acoustic and a connection has been established, the acoustic switches to mode 2. The volume level is raised in this mode.
Switching between mode 1 and mode 2 is automatic.
