Description:
Employees who drive vehicles at work are exposed to whole-body vibrations. It is important for workers to be able to link their own perception of vibration to an external assessment: This makes them aware of the stress and enables them to help reduce it themselves by adjusting their driving style and setting their seat appropriately. The Institute for Occupational Safety and Health of the German Social Accident Insurance (IFA) has developed an easy-to-use load indicator. It informs employees of their current vibration exposure with the aid of a traffic light scheme on the screen.
