Description
Braille Sense 6
As in previous versions of BrailleSense, the clear and simple menu structure has been retained. The Android operating system from Google on which this BrailleSense runs is completely innovative. This will give you the ability to download Apps from the Google Playstore and you can easily work with Google services such as Drive, Docs, Sheets and Slides just like any other student and professional.
Browsing the Internet
Integrated Perkins keyboard
Very suitable for education
With the Google Chrome app you can easily browse the internet. In terms of functionality, the Braille Sense 6 is comparable to an Android tablet, without a touchscreen, but with an integrated Perkins keyboard and Braille display. The WiFi module allows you to easily connect to the internet and use the applications that Android offers. This way you can easily communicate with friends, family or colleagues.
Advanced options for students
The BrailleSense 6 is very suitable for use in education. For example, the device has a scientific calculator with support for Braille output using the Nemeth standard. You can use the word processor to take notes on the spot. In addition, you can open, read and edit various files, such as RTF, DOC/DOCX, PPT/PPTX, PDF and Epub.
The Braille Sense 6 has an e-mail function. Via the standard synchronization option you can synchronize calendars and contacts with your mail account.
Deaf-Blind
If you are deaf-blind, you can use a fold-out screen and it is possible to connect a second keyboard, so that your conversation partner can communicate with you easily and directly. The vibrate function makes it easy to alert you to messages or a falling alarm clock. Two BrailleSense 6 users can communicate wirelessly with each other via the Sense Chat app.
Connectivity and Control
With its modern WiFi module, Bluetooth 5.1, USB 3.0, HDMI and many more connection options, you can easily connect to the device. The built-in high-quality camera allows you to use applications that work together with photo or video material, such as recognizing and reading text.
Via the HDMI port it is possible to connect the device directly to a monitor, ideal for supervisors or trainers who would like to watch.
In addition to being an independent note-taking device, you can of course also connect the BrailleSense 6 to your PC, Smartphone or tablet as an external Braille display. You can navigate and enter text via the Braille input on the device.
