Areas of Application:
- People in wheelchairs

Description:
Handicapped pilots who are required by the authorities to have manual rudder control in order to pursue our beautiful hobby can choose between single-seaters and two-seaters.
The manual rudder control is operated via an additional lever on the left side of the cockpit; conventional operation via the rudder pedals is of course still possible. This allows e.g. clubs to enable disabled members to use modern aircraft.
Flying two-seater - with or without walking impediment:
With the Duo Discus XL, in addition to the standard pedal operation, the rudder can also be operated manually from both the front and the rear seat with the optional manual rudder control.
This allows disabled pilots to fly in the two-seater not only as a guest, but also as the pilot in command. In addition, disabled people can be trained in gliding or can instruct themselves as flight instructors.
From the wheelchair into the single seater:
With the optional hand rudder control for the Discus-2cT, disabled pilots can also participate in the sport of gliding in a single seater.
The wide range of persample formance of the Discus-2cT makes it possible for disabled pilots to participate in competitions such as OLC, or even to take part in championships. The still possible conventional rudder operation via pedals also makes the Discus-2cT the ideal single-seater for use in clubs with disabled members.
