The ProWalker is a rail-guided walking system for severely mobility-impaired children aged from about 3 to 14 years who cannot fully support their body weight and have insufficient control over their walking movement. It consists of two assemblies: The chassis, which is made of aluminum, and an individually custom-made rail system. The ProWalker's rail system is custom-made for each child. It can and may therefore only be used by that child. It is anchored in the chassis after being fitted to the child outside the ProWalker. The system grows with the child: it is designed to compensate for a growth in leg length of about 10 centimeters.
