The PTP1 offers full Daisy functionality and also plays MP3 files. Operation is simple with the numeric keypad. The PTP1 is connected to the computer with a USB cable, so that books (from CD) and music can be copied to the memory card of the PTP1. In addition to playing Daisy books that have already been recorded, you can also load text files and have them read through the built-in speech synthesis. If the text file is a Daisy text book, then the document can be navigated. The player comes with a 2 GB SD memory card.
