Fall detection system designed for bed or chair use. Comprises: alarm controller with visual alert; GSM emergency telephone dialler with two-way voice intercom and extension speaker; corded bed or cordless chair pressure mat sensor which is placed under the mattress or cushion; cordless chair sensor with transmitter; wireless movement sensor; when alarm is activated, an alert is sent to the smartphones of a pre-selected list of contacts; alerts will be sent when a person has not returned to their bed or chair within a pre-determined time, or when movement has been detected; low battery status and power on LED.
