Description:
The eating aid consists of a base plate on which a pivotable and rotatable lever arm with the cutlery holder, e.g. B. a spoon is arranged. The lever arm can be moved by grasping it with the hand, by pressing it with individual fingers or with the arm, or by using foot pedals, either automatically or gradually. Here, according to a sequence of movements determined by the structural dimensions, the spoon is lowered into the plate, the food is pushed on, the spoon is raised and guided horizontally to the mouth. The sequence of movements is therefore also suitable for therapeutic purposes, e.g. B. for a mobility training.
Features / Components:
Model 1 (with strong trembling of the hands):
Users move the lever arm by laying on the fingers or the hand and push it independently with little hand force down, up, back and forth until into the mouth position.
Model 2 (with uncontrolled movements of the hands):
Users move the lever arm forwards and downwards by placing the fingers or the hand on it. The sequence of movements is supported by restoring forces. The lever is raised by spring force and the spoon is turned in the direction of the mouth.
Model 3 (for small hand movements):

Additionally arranged angle levers translate small hand movements of the hands, which are mostly in the lap. The plate can be turned with the knee using a friction wheel.
Model 4 (only for foot control):
The lever arm is moved with the feet using foot pedals. If required, the plate can be rotated with a friction wheel.
Model 5 (for powerless or motionless patients):
The movement sequence can be controlled automatically or optionally by a button or sensor. The plate is rotated by the program specifications.
