Description:
The FreeStyle Libre 3 glucose monitoring system is used to measure glucose levels in the interstitial fluid in adults and children aged 4 years and older with diabetes. A small sensor on the upper arm with a probe located just under the skin measures and permanently stores data. The current glucose value, the glucose history of the last 8 hours and a trend arrow are displayed with each scan with the reader over the sensor.
An adult is responsible for supervising the use and evaluation of FreeStyle Libre for children from the age of 4 and adolescents up to the age of 17.
