Description:
The Hilti TE-CD/TE-YD hollow core drill no longer has a drill helix, but instead has openings on the solid carbide head. They are used to remove the concrete drill dust directly through the hollow drill bit by a connected Hilti VC vacuum cleaner.
The time-consuming cleaning of drill holes for dowels and subsequent reinforcement connections with blowing and brushing is completely eliminated, which significantly reduces dust exposure.
Hilti received a commendation from the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (BMAS) at the German Hazardous Substance Protection Award for its TE-CD/TE-YD hollow drill bit.
