The Alva 640 Comfort is a very small and light Braille display with an integrated Braille keyboard. Information from a computer, tablet or smartphone is converted into Braille that is displayed on 40 Braille cells.
The Braille keyboard makes the reading line even more versatile. This makes it possible to type text in Braille and to operate the computer or other devices.
Due to the ergonomically designed input keys, it is not necessary to use the keyboard of the computer or smartphone.
The Alva 640 Comfort can be used with screen reading software such as Supernova, Jaws, Window-Eyes, VoiceOver. The Alva 640 Comfort can be connected via USB.
Thanks to the built-in rechargeable battery, the display can also be used on the go.

In addition to the Alva 640 Comfort, there is the ALVA BC640. This display has the additional functionality of a 'Smartpad' which is located directly under the Braille cells.
The 'Smartpad' has a five-way navigation key and four function keys, enabling a number of functions to be activated directly below the display, such as arrow keys, mouse clicks and 'Enter'.
