Description:
Osteoarthritis at an advanced stage or a fracture of the femoral neck are indications that lead to replacement of the joint. The abduction wedge is prescribed by the surgeon to prevent the risk of postoperative dislocation after the hip prosthesis has been inserted.
The abduction wedge is made of cold foam material with a high degree of compressive strength. The anatomically shaped abduction wedge without sharp edges is held in place by an integral cover.
