Opis
Carlo is a man aged 57, suffering from Parkinson's disease. Charles is currently the owner of a workshop, where deals with repairing and selling products.
Since 2007, due to the development of the disease, he started feeling early motor fluctuations in the form of wearing-off. He complains of problems, sometimes severe, in performing fine movements with his right hand, particularly debilitating for the mechanical activity (for example he can’t handle a screwdriver with enough accuracy and power).
In this short presentation potential risks arising from the performance of this particular work are highlighted, as well as the suitable design solution making the workplace more secure and protected.
This study highlights a problem that is often found among self-employed, small family businesses, craftsmen or artists who autonomously regulate their activities, often not knowing the regulations in terms of safety and risks for their health.
