Rear access ramp
Description:
The access ramp disappears completely as long as there is no transportation, so that the lowering unit and vehicle floor form one level. As there can be problems with headroom, especially for people in wheelchairs, the transport floor is offset downwards. In addition, the incline is about one percent so that moisture from shoes and wheels can drain away. During transport, the ramp is locked vertically in front of the rear door, which prevents it from being opened accidentally during the journey.
Some of the retractors are permanently attached to the lowered floor. When folded, these disappear under the ramp. Other retractors are attached to the inside wall of the vehicle. This allows the person or object to be transported to be secured in the vehicle.
