Description:
The Pace Stimulator (ODFS Pace XL) is a 1-channel electrical stimulation device for functional electrical stimulation, which is activated by foot switch and was specially developed for home therapy for foot lifting weakness due to central neurological damage (e.g. stroke, MS, spinal cord or head injuries). Electrodes are positioned on the skin over the peroneal nerve in order to achieve an elevation and outward rotation of the foot through electrical impulses. Depending on the electrode placement, knee and hip movements are also possible.
The device offers a wide range of setting options and preset programs for individual therapy adjustment. An exercise mode allows cyclical stimulation to activate muscles before walking or to strengthen other muscle groups. Programs for gait training and data recording also support rehabilitation and therapy control.
