- This washing machine has a number of facilities that improve accessibility for blind and partially sighted people.
- There is a rotary knob on the front with positions where tactile markings are also arranged around this knob. This selects the washing program.
- The rotary knob has a yellow and tactile marking on the side that indicates the choice.
- To the left of the dial is a control panel with lights and tactile markings.
- Perceptible 'lines' run from the markings around the rotary knob to the location on the control panel where a relevant choice must be made, such as washing temperature and spin speed.
- Acoustic signals provide feedback about the settings made.
- Recognizable melodies can be heard when switching on and off.
- The CapDosing system from Miele works with capsules that contain the correct amount of detergent, rinsing product or other additive. This means that the correct dosage can always be applied without visual inspection of the filling bowl.
- A spoken manual in mp3 format is provided on the supplied USB stick. The official language is German.
