Description:
The external pressure reduces the vein diameter and improves the function of the venous valves. The venous blood volume decreases, the flow velocity increases and retrograde blood flow is reduced or prevented. At the same time, the tendency to clot is reduced.
The compression promotes the return flow of interstitial fluid into the capillaries, reduces the leakage of capillary fluid and decongests the tissue.
