Contraindications:
The application and wearing of such assistive products may be contraindicated in the following clinical pictures:
- Skin diseases/injuries in the treated body part, especially with inflammatory symptoms
- Scars with swelling, redness and overheating
- Sensory disturbances
- Severe restriction of cardiopulmonary performance
- Risk of increased blood pressure with the assistive products in place and increased physical exertion
Side effects:
Provided they are used properly (correct application), no side effects are known to date. In principle, bandages or orthoses that are too tight can lead to localized pressure symptoms or, in rare cases, constrict blood vessels or nerves: The principle of the support (delordosis by increasing intra-abdominal pressure) can in principle increase the risk of illnesses associated with increased intra-abdominal pressure, such as hypertension, venous reflux disorder, inguinal hernias, reflux complaints, etc.
Description:
The orthosis relieves pressure on the vertebral bodies from the iliac crest to the thorax. The entire spinal column area is stabilised and straightened in the sagittal and frontal plane. The height-adjustable plastic frame ensures significant delordosis, which counteracts compensatory hyperlordosis. The support bar used in the upper area straightens the thoracic spine and significantly reduces hyperkyphosis.

The T-Flex TL consists of the Tigges-Thorax thoracic spine orthosis, a lumbar spine orthosis girdle and a plastic set, which can be ordered together or in a separate packaging unit.
