Acapella choice is a breathing aid for expiratory exercises. Exhalation exercises with PEP (Positive Expiratory Pressure) are used to eliminate secretion congestion in patients suffering from acute and chronic illnesses of the lungs.
The device consists of a mouthpiece with a detachable, pear-shaped main body and is carried in the hand during use. The patient exhales through the mouthpiece. The flow mechanics integrated into the device cause vibrations in the respiratory flow and oscillations in the respiratory tract, which have an expectorant effect. The airway resistance is adjustable.
