Description:
OrCam MyEye is a wearable device that makes visual information available to blind and visually impaired people through voice prompts. The miniature camera is attached to the glasses and uses artificial intelligence to read text, recognize faces, and identify products.
The device is wireless because the base unit is integrated into the camera. The camera continuously scans the person's field of vision. Tapping on text or pressing a switch converts the visual information into audio and plays it through a speaker on the glasses' temples. Volume and lighting can be adjusted, and the device updates automatically via Wi-Fi.
The new "Hey OrCam!" voice control allows hands-free operation. It can also store up to 100 people and 150 products.
There are different models available:
OrCam MyEye Smart offers text reading and intelligent reading functions for searching for specific information in text.
OrCam MyEye PRO can also identify faces, recognize objects, banknotes, and colors, scan barcodes, and provide orientation aids.
OrCam MyEye 2.0 is listed in the GKV medical device directory.
