Description:
The tricycles are specially designed for people of short stature, especially those with diastrophic dysplasia, who have limited ability to stand or walk. The bicycles have one front wheel and two rear wheels, usually combined with a foldable fork/handlebar combination for easy transportation in a car.
Standard children's bikes often do not fit due to disproportionate body dimensions. Bicycles for small children are individually adapted: low frame height, long frames, high handlebars, short pedal cranks (approx. 1/5 of the inside leg length) and a low bottom bracket to relieve the knee angle.
When the saddle is correctly adjusted, it is not below the mudguard of the rear wheel.
