Description:
Road gullies for surface water are inlets that are made up of several individual parts. For example, they consist of a base part, shaft, cone, support ring, top, etc. The base of road gullies is usually lowered into the trench using an excavator or wheel loader with lifting gear (e.g. chains) and placed by hand. Depending on the design, the bases have a weight of approx. 70 - 140 kg and are lifted or set in the trench by hand. The use of lifting and carrying aids is recommended to avoid the stresses caused by lifting and carrying.
The installation parts hang straight from the lifting gear during transportation and setting and do not have to be set up in an awkward posture during installation. The use of a setting aid eliminates the need to manually set and position the individual parts of the road gullies. This significantly reduces the strain on the spine caused by working in a strongly stooped posture and by manually handling heavy loads.
