The LPS manufacturing assistance system is used for the identification, localization and positioning of tools in assembly processes using ultrasonic technology.
Features / Components:
QualityAssist:
The QualityAssist is used for error-free processes at manual workstations. It works like an electronic work instruction that ensures that it is followed. First, the correct work steps are taught in the correct sequence. Then, the quality-relevant actions of the workers and the position of tools are observed, guided without contact and corrected if necessary.
Local Positioning System:
With the Local Positioning System, several transmitters send their ultrasonic signals into the working environment from the wrist of the person carrying the workpiece or similar. The receiver unit calculates the exact position of the individual transmitters from the transit time of the signals. It identifies, localizes and positions the workpieces to an accuracy of 1 mm.
PositionBox:
The PositionBox determines the 3D position of handling systems or tools without length and angle measuring systems. The spatial coordinates are evaluated and displayed in the customer system. With digital I/Os and Ethernet interface.
