The Smart Beetle from HIMS is a small, compact Braille display in jacket pocket format. The 14-digit Braille display makes it easy to read texts on a smartphone while on the move. In addition to German, 18 different menu languages and character sets are available. The device has two coupling modes:
In Braille mode, it acts as a Braille display in conjunction with a screen reader, in keyboard mode it behaves like a standard keyboard.
