Eyecane AR is a pair of data glasses for people suffering from age-related macular degeneration (AMD), the main cause of vision loss.
The Eyecane AR glasses use a small 4k camera and a mobile app to capture and process images in real time. The images are then shown to the user in full HD on an augmented reality display. This process shifts the central field of vision to the peripheral field of vision, allowing AMD patients to regain their lost vision and thus their independence
