The Braille League, in collaboration with Serviceplan, and the Belgian streetwear brand 'Bshirt Rocks', is proud to announce the launch of the 'Talkie Beanie' campaign, a groundbreaking initiative that aims to make the textile industry inclusive for blind and partially sighted people.
At the heart of the campaign is the 'Talkie Beanie', a hat designed to help people with visual impairments make everyday clothing decisions. Inside the hat is a QR code that, when scanned, makes information accessible thanks to speech synthesis technology on the smartphone. This technology reads out important details, such as the color of the garment and washing instructions, so that people with visual impairments can dress and care for their clothes independently without outside help.
Looking for a useful gift for the holidays? Buy a Talkie Beanie from November 4th, for every hat sold, 1 euro will be donated to the Braille League.
