- Sensitivity disorders of the forearm and hand
- Intra-articular lesion of the elbow
- Supinator syndrome
Description:
The passive extension position of the wrist in approx. 30 degrees inhibits the contractile capacity of the wrist extensor muscles. After each movement, the extensors are passively brought into their relaxed functional position with the orthosis, i.e. they are passively moved in a controlled manner with minimal effort.
The tendon structures can regenerate faster under this relieving situation.
If an object is to be lifted with the hand, the flexors are activated and the activity of the extensors is reduced. Patients are hardly restricted in their mobility at work and in their leisure time. Both active and passive movements are possible.
