- high risk of PHT/SCD with right ventricular or right atrial thrombus or tumor (myxoma)
- planned heart transplantation in patients

Description:
The LifeVest wearable cardioverter defibrillator is worn by patients who are at risk of sudden cardiac death (SCD). The system continuously monitors the patient's heart and alerts the patient by voice command in the event of abnormalities. If the patient does not respond to the warnings, the system can start resuscitation on its own. This ensures that life-sustaining measures are carried out if the patient is possibly unconscious.
If the patient switches off the process, this prevents false arrhythmia detection from triggering an unnecessary treatment shock. The entire process, from the detection of the arrhythmia to the administration of the treatment shock, takes less than a minute. If the arrhythmia continues after the first treatment shock, up to five further shocks are administered.
The system is worn in the form of a vest and a belt to which a monitor is attached for monitoring and control. The information is automatically transmitted from the LifeVest system to the LifeVest network and can be viewed by the treating doctor from any computer with an Internet connection.
