Description:
The smart ankle orthosis for the rehabilitation period is coupled with an app. By combining different sensors on this orthosis, the aim is to measure strengths, angles and accelerations in the ankle joint during walking. The goal is to determine the loads on the injured joint using these parameters. The measured sensor data is continuously evaluated and recorded. Small vibration motors on the orthosis as well as additional feedback via the app announce an overload of the ankle, so that patients can react to this by adopting a gentle posture. The recording of load curves will also enable follow-up and evaluation of the therapy.
