Description:
Panasonic has launched a series of talking TVs. The speech output was built into most of the devices from the Viera series under the name "Voice Guidance". Currently, almost all models from Panasonic have this function. Blind and visually impaired people can use it to independently find their favorite programs, discover new programs via the electronic program guide (EPG) and listen to their descriptions, regardless of their residual vision.
It is possible to switch between programs without having to remember the order of the channels, activate the audio description, set a recording timer and play back the recorded program. These functions are available at no extra charge in any supported device. The "Voice Guidance" feature gives important on-screen messages and supports the most commonly used menus. After becoming familiar with the functions of the device, one can switch to the expert mode, where only the most important information is spoken. If you call up a menu
that is not yet supported by "Voice Guidance", you will receive a corresponding message.
