Description:
By coordinating the eating movement, the eating appliance supports during meals. People with spasms and tremors are helped by the iEAT by absorbing uncontrolled movements in the arm and/or hand during meals with a dampening mechanism. The eating arm provides resistance so that the aforementioned target group can use the eating movement in a controlled manner.
The iEAT supports people with reduced muscle strength and coordination difficulties during meals. In this version, the eating arm offers hardly any resistance, so that this target group can use the eating movement in a controlled manner with less effort.
The iEAT eating robot performs the movement of the eating arm in a semi-automatic or fully automatic mode, additionally an automatic plate rotation is available. This allows people without movement resources in their arms to perform independent eating. The iEAT is positioned on a standard table via a table clamp and allows independent and self-determined food intake.
