Hearing implants consist of the implant and a receiver (sound processor).
The Soundbridge middle ear implant is a partially implantable hearing aid. The implant is implanted completely under the skin. The audio processor is attached behind the ear using a magnet. The hearing aid amplifies the sound picked up by the audio processor and transmits it directly to the middle ear, which is connected to the implant.
