Description:
The battery-powered system comprises a lightweight, body-worn exoskeleton with motors and motion sensors at the hip and knee joints. The ReWalker makes it possible to stand upright, walk and go up and down stairs.
A forward bend of the upper body triggers the first step. Repeatedly shifting the body weight triggers a series of steps that mimic the normal movement of the legs.
