You can take a short breather without having to rely on an attendant. Likewise, the attendant can stop without having to apply the brakes. The rollback lock is located on the drive wheel and can be engaged in the same way as the knee lever brake. Then the roll-back lock blocks the roll-back of the chair with a mechanism without affecting the forward movement or having to apply the parking brake itself for this.
