Description:
The Silensor-sl consists of a transparent splint for the upper jaw and a transparent splint for the lower jaw. The lower jaw is held in place or moved forwards by two straps that connect the two splints at the sides. In this way, the Silensor-sl counteracts the narrowing of the airways. The speed of the breathing air decreases and with it the noise-generating fluttering of the soft tissues, and therefore the snoring. With the Silensor-sl, jaw movements are possible, but the lower jaw cannot sink back. Clinical studies have shown that advancing the lower jaw significantly reduces snoring in over 80 percent of patients and can reduce the apnea index by up to 50 percent (according to the manufacturer).
