- The BlindShell Classic 2 is a mobile phone specifically designed for the target group with various accessibility features such as magnification, speech reproduction, speech recognition and sound tones. It is available in black or red.
- The BlindShell Classic 2 has a redesigned housing and keys compared to the BlindShell Classic. In addition, there's a better speaker, a more powerful battery and a higher-resolution camera for better photos.
- In terms of software, WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger are available, in addition to a wide range of apps in the BlindShell catalog.
- A European CovidSafe app has also recently become available.
- It works with Android and has a classic keyboard with separate keys and a 2.83 inch TFT screen of 480 by 640 pixels.
- Characters on the screen are displayed large and a Dutch voice provides the speech reproduction.
- The menu is shown in one column with adjustable colors & font sizes. Two sizes are available for the font size.
- The main menu style can be customized: textual menu options, icons or text and icons.
- Keys are spoken: by letter, by word or both. Selected items are also spoken.
- You can create messages and contacts by dictating in Dutch/Flemish (internet connection required) or by typing them in with the keyboard. It is also possible to give commands such as "call grandmother" or "start color recognition".
- Furthermore, the following functions are available: GPS (where am I function), FM radio, internet radio, music player, calendar, alarm clock, memo recorder, label recognition, calculator, color detector, the weather for the coming week and an emergency call function.
- The BlindShell Classic 2 also has NFC so that wireless tags can be used to find objects.
- Above the numeric keypad are 6 tactile and high-contrast keys for navigation, volume and the classic red and green keys for phone calls.
- The connections are located on the top and bottom sides and on the back is a camera with flash lamp and an SOS button.
- The time can be read out even when the keys are locked.
- The camera with LED flash has a resolution of 13 megapixels.
- The BlindShell Classic 2 is equipped with bluetooth 4.2 and wifi.
