The ProWalker is a rail-guided walking system for severely disabled children aged between 3 and 14 years who cannot fully support their body weight and have insufficient control over their walking movements. It consists of two assemblies: The chassis, which is made of aluminum, and a custom-made rail system. The ProWalker rail system is made to measure for each individual child. It can and may therefore only be used by this child. It is anchored in the chassis after it has been put on the child outside the ProWalker. The system grows with the child: it is designed in such a way that it can compensate for leg growth of around 10 centimetres.
