Areas of Application:

Possible modes of action:
-Widening of the airways (via setting I)

Contraindications:
Pneumothorax, massive haemoptysis (haemoptysis), severe heart failure, ICP (intracranial pressure symptoms) >20 mm Hg.

Description:
Guideline-based respiratory therapy (PEP*) for effective loosening and removal of stuck bronchial mucus. The RC Cornet® PLUS TRACHEO is a variant of the RC Cornet® PLUS. The RC Cornet® PLUS TRACHEO enables patients with an integrated tracheostomy tube (15 mm) to undergo respiratory therapy to loosen mucus.
Note:
Patients with an open tracheostoma can use the RC Cornet® PLUS with the RC Mask Tracheostoma.
Features / components:
- In each setting, the intensity of the resistance can be adjusted to suit the patient in four stages (A-D), so it can also be used by weak patients
- Meets the highest clinical requirements (KRINKO) in terms of use and hygiene (max. 134 °C/multi-patient use)
- Integrated, ISO-standardized nebuliser attachment enables simultaneous respiratory therapy and moist inhalation with nebulisers for better secretolysis (combination therapy)
- Position-independent
- Especially suitable for tracheostomized and very weak patients
- Note: For tracheostomized patients, it may be advisable to start with setting II.
