Description:
The Elotype 5 electronic Braille machine has a smooth-running and ergonomic Braille keyboard. All the functions of an electronic typewriter are available, for example tabulator, margin stop, variable line spacing. The machine can write 6- and 8-dot Braille. The Braille keyboard of the Elotype 5 can be used to write directly on the PC monitor via a so-called terminal program. It is also possible to save the text in a file.
With the help of the plug-in USB keyboard, black print can be entered into the machine and embossed directly in Braille. Sighted people can read the entered text on an integrated display. The display shows two lines of 20 characters each. The Elotype 5 can be connected to the PC as a Braille printer via the USB port. The texts can be printed on single sheets or tractor-guided continuous paper.
