The Activator is a 40-cell braille display with a braille keyboard, a fold-out QWERTY keyboard and a docking station for an iPhone.
The Braille keyboard can be opened and then it becomes a standard computer keyboard (QWERTY).
The ATC technology (Active Tactile Control) makes it possible to follow your fingers on the reading line and automatically scroll to the next line when you reach the end of the line. This allows you to quickly navigate through text without using additional operating keys.
To connect the iPhone, the SmartDock is provided, which is magnetically connected to the Activator.
When the Activator is connected to the mains, the connected iPhone is automatically charged.
iPhone apps can be started from the Activator.
The “HelpTech+” app is available for free for the iPhone. This app adds many new features to the Activator.
With the integrated braille monitor, a sighted person can follow the information on the braille display directly on the iPhone screen. That includes reading position, text highlights and the cursor position.
With voice input you can dictate texts instead of typing them. The recognized text is saved to the Activator or entered into an existing file at the desired position.
With the speech output you can have texts on the Activator read aloud through the speakers of the iPhone.
With “HelpTech+” you can transfer files between the Activator and the iPhone.
