Description:
The WalkOn is a lightweight lower leg orthosis made from modern carbon fiber prepreg material. A carbon spring on the back runs from the Achilles tendon to the calf and supports people with residual muscles when walking. Stored energy is released when the toes are pushed off, making the gait pattern more fluid. At the same time, the orthosis stabilizes the ankle joint.
In the swing phase, it lifts the foot, which reduces the risk of tripping and falling. The tip of the foot no longer gets stuck so easily on small obstacles.
